Gold Coast meets The Hamptons

Brides and Grooms to-be, whatever your style or however you want to theme your big day, the Gold Coast has you covered. Look below, for example.

We collaborated with The Events Lounge (and a host of incredible suppliers) on a styled shoot recently, to create a Gold Coast/Hamptons fusion of sorts. The beautiful Hamptons Hinterland Retreat painted the perfect backdrop – oversized rooms, high ceilings and spaces that flow from indoors to outdoors seamlessly. This paired with a classic, muted colour palette (think white, blush + hints of gold) the team was able to create magic, almost effortlessly.

Beautiful tablescapes of gold cutlery, crisp white plates sitting on slate-coloured linen tablecloths, pink crystals, with beautiful orchids and roses in the centre and a statement wire crotchet light hovering above. Simply stunning. The inclusion of marble bars, large lounges and occasional chairs made the space welcoming and a play with different textures like velvet, tasselled cushions and bedouin rugs gave it huge personality.

The beauty of this style is that while it looks expensive, it’s actually quite accessible. And this shoot showcases how simple things can be done well, and that you don’t need to go over the top to create something elegant and super chic.
